End of a snowstorm, from the hill behind our new home.

We moved in May of 2019 to near Agency Lake, about 5 miles from the Lonesome Duck. We mostly retired but I am still doing natural history guiding for the Lonesome Duck, et al. Maybe I will have time to post some things regularly now. I do like to catch the seasons. After a very mild and dry fall we finally headed into more serious winter. Late today the snow stopped after snowing much of the past two days. To take it in and get some exercise we hiked up the little roads to the east of our home. I took a few photos as the sun lowered. That's the Cascade Mountains in the background west of us; it has snowed several feet of the refreshing white stuff there. And a teeny bit of Agency Lake shows in the valley below.

Beautiful photo! We hardly got a dusting up in Portland but there was panic as you'd imagine. Great to still see updates here on the Lonesome Duck blog.
